Ryan serves as Co-Chair for the 2026 Light The Night campaign with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, where he is focused on growing community involvement and helping drive meaningful change in the fight against blood cancers.

His journey with LLSC began through Visionaries of the Year, where he went on to serve as Chair for two consecutive years. During that time, he experienced firsthand the impact that can be created when people come together around a shared purpose, not just in the funds raised, but in the stories, the connections, and the families supported along the way.

That experience led him to step into the Co-Chair role for Light The Night, where he is now focused on building on that momentum at a larger scale, connecting individuals, businesses, and communities in a way that creates lasting impact.

For Ryan, this work is deeply personal. As a father and someone who values strong, connected communities, he is driven by the belief that showing up for others, especially during their most difficult moments, is what truly defines a community. Light The Night represents an opportunity to turn that belief into action.

Outside of his volunteer work, Ryan is a commercial insurance broker based in Nova Scotia, where he works closely with business owners and developers. His professional focus on relationships and long-term thinking carries directly into his work with LLSC, helping to strengthen and grow the community around the mission.
