Mike Olson, President of OML Construction Ltd., is honoured to be Chairing this year’s Edmonton Executive Leadership Committee for the Light the Night fundraising and awareness campaign, benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). Mike got involved in this campaign because his Grandmother passed away from lymphoma. Mike also wants to support families affected by blood cancers, through fundraising for ongoing research that drives innovation towards successful future outcomes. Mike’s roots in the construction industry and corresponding network of peers continue to provide a conduit for LLSC to expand their support in both fundraising and awareness, hopefully for years to come!
Born and raised in Edmonton, Mike is committed to working within the community. His entrepreneurial spirit, experience in business and leading people provides a strong foundation for Mike to draw from in his fundraising and volunteer efforts. He is a past Director for Kids up Front, the Edmonton Construction Association, the Alberta Construction Safety Association, and a current Director for First Industries Corporation. Mike’s wife Samantha, daughter Maya, and sons Spencer and Jeremy enjoy the great Alberta outdoors. Mike and his family love to travel to their adopted 2nd home in Costa Rica, where they also maintain a residence and operate other construction-related companies.
