Michael Lewis is Managing Director for Marsh and the National Leader for Growth and Industry which looks at the key current and emerging risk issues associated with our top industry segments and provides key risk management, mitigation, or transfer options for clients that assist our client manage risk on their balance sheet. Michael led Real Estate, Education, and Healthcare Industries within Asia and discussed trends for organizations to consider as they grew their business either regionally or globally.
Michael previously led the Industry Practice and Marsh Risk Consulting business in Asia and has over 17 years of experience working in the insurance industry in Australia, Hong Kong and now Canada and his background is in human casualty risk.
Michael is a qualified allied health professional (Exercise Physiologist) specializing in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and has worked previously with an accredited occupational rehabilitation provider and physiotherapy clinic. Michael has vast experience working with local and global clients on assessing their pre-loss, post-loss, and insurance risks. His work involves evaluating the total cost of employee risk around safety, claim, injury, and insurance management and has industry experience across a variety of industries including Construction, Healthcare, Education, Agribusiness, and Hospitality.
