Maria Preovolos serves as Vice President of Legal Services at TELUS, where she leads the legal teams supporting two major global divisions: TELUS Health, a comprehensive health and wellbeing provider, and TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods, which delivers digital solutions and data insights to enhance food and consumer goods supply chains from production to consumer.
Throughout her distinguished 22-year tenure with TELUS, Maria has delivered strategic legal leadership across diverse portfolios, with particular expertise in governance and commercial matters. Her expertise in these areas has positioned her as a key advisor in TELUS's global expansion into health technology and agricultural innovation. Maria's commitment to governance extends beyond her corporate role.
She served on the Board of Governors of the Justice Institute of British Columbia from 2018 to 2024, culminating in her service as Chair in 2023. In this capacity, she spearheaded the successful search for the institution's new President in 2024, demonstrating her leadership in both private sector and public institution governance.
