Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness lives on
Jenifer was joyful, creative and brought light and love to everyone she met. The youngest sibling of three, she filled her days with a deep appreciation of everything artistic.
Her creativity shined through her love of drawing, sewing, and making jewelry. At age 14, Jenifer’s world changed when she was diagnosed with leukemia. She bravely endured 2 1/2 years of treatment. She began to rebuild a normal life as she returned to school to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer.
However, the leukemia returned just ten months later. The treatments were harsher and required longer hospital stays. As she neared the end of another 2 1/2 years of treatment, the leukemia came back. Despite these intense challenges, Jenifer remained positive and full of hope. She continued to inspire others, raising awareness and funds to support children with cancer, saying that no child should have to face such a battle.
Jenifer’s spirit, resilience, and compassion touched countless lives. She earned her angel wings a few weeks shy of her 21st birthday, but her legacy of love, strength, and kindness lives on.
