I have been participating in Light The Night for over 5 years.
As a parent, the great lengths taken to ensure our children remain healthy and safe are our top priority. Hearing the words your child has cancer will forever be etched in our minds. Our lives came to a screeching halt, beyond our control on July 13th 2017. Watching helplessly throughout the 19 months as our son endured the countless testing, treatments and fear is truly heart shattering.
Our Angel Warrior Michael encouraged us to continue to be his voice and ignited the fire to keep fighting for all touched by blood cancer regardless that they were unable to save him. This is why it is imperative we do whatever we can, making our Angel Michael's vision of living in a world without Blood Cancer a reality!
We were able to reach the $5,000 milestone through outpouring generosity from amazing family and friends. Creative social media posts, Linda's Minion "Shave The World from Blood Cancer" event in memory of Michael happening on October 10th. It's getting great exposure and overwhelming responses. Sending letters to corporations asking for their support.
Light The Night is an empowering event of Hope, courage, faith and Love. Bringing awareness of the countless lives affected by Blood Cancers. We remember the Warriors who gained their wings. We support and encourage the survivors still battling. Showing them they are not alone!
Canadians should support those affected by blood cancers because far too many lives are touched by Blood Cancers. We need to help fulfill not only my Angel Warrior's Mission but all those affected. No amount is too little and together we can and will make a that vision of living in a world without blood cancer a REALITY!
