I have been participating in Light The Night for over 5 years. I am living with Follicular Lymphoma. After 2 1/2 years of treatment, I’m in partial remission but side effects limit my daily activities and prevent me from working.

I participate in Light The Night because I want to provide support to others and help fund more effective, less toxic treatments and a cure. I was able to reach the $5,000 milestone because of the support from my amazing family and friends, emails, social media and a paint & wine night fundraiser. I have a team in Toronto and my daughter has a team in Vancouver - we’re a national super team!

Canadians should support those affected by blood cancer because blood cancer is complicated. Blood cancer patients have imperfect immune systems. Many blood cancers are currently incurable.

Do you have a story to tell?

As a supporter, in memory, or as a survivor… share with others why you are helping end blood cancers by participating in a Light the Night Walk
