FAQ
The contest is open to children aged 12 and under. We encourage all young artists, regardless of skill level, to participate and share their unique designs.
Artwork must be original and created by the child. It should be submitted in a high-resolution digital format (PDF, JPEG or PNG). Artwork must also be on a white background (i.e. no coloured paper or dark backgrounds).
The deadline for submitting artwork is 11:59pm on July 29th. Please ensure all entries are submitted by this date to be considered for the contest.
For the Kids Art Contest 2025, all submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will evaluate each piece based on creativity, originality, and how well it reflects this year’s theme: “Colour For A Cure.” The selection process will be thoughtful and fair, with a final group vote by the judging panel to determine the winning design.
The winning design will be featured on the official Light the Night white Survivor’s T-shirt, worn by the white lantern community at Light The Night events nationwide. Additionally, the winner will receive a special prize package, including a framed copy of their design and a special recognition ceremony at their regional Light The Night event.
Each child is allowed to submit one entry to ensure fairness and give everyone an equal opportunity to participate.
