Use the tools below to help guide you through your fundraising experience, and be sure to contact a Light The Night Support Staff for some one-on-one tips!

• Online fundraising: This is by far the most effective and easiest method to raise funds. Email all your contacts a personal message with your fundraising page link and ask them to sponsor you. You'll be surprised at the response you get.
• Personalize your page with a Tiny URL: Personalize the link to your fundraising website. By following a few easy steps your link will become quick and easy to remember and share. Example: http://tinyurl.com/ltnsteve.
• Social Networking: Post your fundraising link on your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages. Remember to update your status regularly and let your friends know how you're coming along. Encourage them to support you. You can create a Facebook event and invite people to join. 
• Utilize family and friends: Ask your loved ones to fundraise on your behalf, or ask them to join you at the Light The Night Walk, register on your team and fundraise with you.
• Email Signature: Insert the hyperlink to your fundraising page on all your outgoing emails, at home and at work. Ask your contacts to donate directly to your personal page and invite people to join your team.
• Corporate Matching Gift programs: Many medium to large businesses will match employee initiatives. Be sure to ask if your company will go one step further and match the amount of donations you receive. It is an easy way to double your dollars.
• Memory Jogger: Ask everyone! If you need help remembering everyone in your network, check out this list to jog your memory. Everyone is a possibility.
• Letter to solicit donations: A great compliment to your email asking for a donation is an actual letter. Customize this letter and send it to your loved ones to encourage them to sponsor you. Ask each of them to send it out to 5 people they know, and if possible, provide the copies of letters and stamped envelope for them.
• Letter to enlist vendor support: Local retailers and businesses like to be associated with a cause. Approach them and ask for help with your fundraising by making a cash donation, item donation or allowing you to set up a customized coin box by the cash. Customize this letter and watch your fundraising dollars increase.
• Light The Night merchandise and bears: To help raise awareness and your fundraising, you may wish to sell Light The Night Bears, "Relentless" wristbands and/or car magnets. • Hometown press release: Contact your local newspaper and ask them to write an article on your Light The Night journey. You will be surprised by how easy it is; they are always looking for great feel good stories. Make sure you provide information on how people can contribute and have a picture ready.
• Send updates: Let people know how your fundraising is coming along and how much more you need to reach your goal. Encourage them to continue supporting you and our mission. Remember to also give them the opportunity to share in your excitement once you've reached that goal. Everyone loves good news!
• Plan a fundraising event: Contact your Light The Night Support Staff to help choose and plan your fundraising event.  There are plenty of great event ideas to put the FUN in fundraising and help raise awareness.
