Thank You To Our 2011 Leadership!

Ron S. Waldman assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Great Western Brewing Company Limited, January 1, 2011.  From May, 1994 ? December, 2010, Mr. Waldman held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Great Western Brewing Company Limited. 

The Great Western Brewing Company was chosen as one of "Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies" from 2004 through 2009, and was chosen as a Platinum Club Member in 2010.  Great Western products have won dozens of brewing awards from around the globe, including many of the most prestigious in the industry.  As a result, Mr. Waldman has established the Saskatoon-based brewery as one of Canada?s most respected and recognized breweries.

Prior to his involvement with the Great Western Brewing Company Limited, Mr. Waldman practiced corporate finance at KPMG Saskatoon, and held several positions with the Saskatchewan based Coca-Cola/Canada Dry franchise family owned bottling business, Beverage Central Inc., including President and Chief Executive Officer from 1987 until 1992.  Mr. Waldman serves as a board member and/or executive member for several corporations, foundations, and associations, including Vice Chair of the Saskatoon Airport Authority, and he is a member of the World President's Club.

In 2005, Mr. Waldman was chosen as one of Saskatchewan?s Most Influential Business Leaders. Additionally in 2005, Mr. Waldman became the recipient of the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal.

Born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Mr. Waldman received Honors Degrees in Business and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Waldman and his wife Shannon reside in Saskatoon raising their three teenage children, Zachary, Molly and Maxwell.
